Bitcentral President Fred Fourcher accepting the Best of Show Awards at NAB

LAS VEGAS, NV – April 9, 2014 – Bitcentral’s CORE Active Panel and Mobile Contribution are each recipients of one of the industry’s most prestigious technology honors, NewBay Media’s Best of Show Award. The awards were presented at the 2014 NAB Show in Las Vegas by TV Technology magazine.

The Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency and performance in serving the industry.

This is the second consecutive year Bitcentral has won an award at NAB. Last year Bitcentral was presented with a Star Award for it’s CORE:news modular news production system.

Only a small number of products were chosen for NewBay Media’s Best of Show Award from among hundreds of new products in competition.

The CORE Active Panel enables users to drive critical production processes from within their most familiar tools – iNews and ENPS. CORE Active Panel includes a simple to use management panel that powers the surfacing and discovery of raw, works-in-progress and finished assets. Active Video Wires further enable discovery and media transport via simplified drag-and-drop all from within the newsroom computer system.

Mobile Contribution enables teams working in the field to instantaneously deliver video, images, scripts and other metadata back to the facility. Items can be immediately attached and available for playout or one-click publishing to digital platforms. Reporters and crews in the field are now able to stay in the field longer and turn more stories every day.
