NEWPORT BEACH, CA – June 1, 2012 – Bitcentral, dedicated to open news delivery and the success of its partners, announced today that Baton Rouge, LA station WAFB, has upgraded to Bitcentral’s Precis™ news production and playout solution.
WAFB in Baton Rouge, LA is the first Raycom station upgrading from Precis 3 to Precis 4. There are roughly 20 additional stations that will be upgraded over the next 18 months. Our strong partnership with Raycom leadership, engineers, and broadcast newsroom users allowed us to create a new implementation model. Driven by our VP of Sales, Alex Keighley, Bitcentral was able to provide a solution that delivered the most current hardware and software systems to upgrade Raycom while utilizing a ‘train the trainer’ and blended learning approach to minimize costs and travel expenses.
Our training approach with Raycom IT and broadcast newsroom staff provides strong value for being more self-sufficient in maintaining the highest quality on air product while reducing upfront costs.
